How to Access PVG Online Results as an Employer

When your employee or potential employee has received the online results of their PVG Scheme check, they can share the result with you.

Once the online result has been shared with you, you will receive a link by email to view the result. This link will be valid for 14 days, and can only be used once, so make sure that you are prepared to view the results.

What information do I need to view a PVG Online Result?

Make sure you have the following details to hand, as you will need to enter them to view the application result:

• Applicant's Date of Birth
• Application Reference Number 

How to view a PVG Online Result:

Before you begin, you should make sure that you have the applicant's date of birth and application reference number ready.

1. Received the Link: Once an applicant shares their results with you, you will receive an email from Disclosure Scotland with a unique link to view the online result. This link expires after 14 days and can only be used once.
2. Online Results Portal: Click on the link in the email from Disclosure Scotland to navigate directly to the Disclosure Scotland Online Results Portal. If you have the necessary details listed above to hand, click 'Continue'.
3. Input Required Information: Enter the applicant's date of birth and application reference number and click continue.
4. View the Result: If the details you entered match an existing application, you will be taken to the application result.

You should be aware that you only have 15 minutes to view this result. As each link can only be used once, if you need to view the result again after you have used the link, you will need to ask the applicant to share it again.
