PVG Online Results for Applicants

This is a step-by-step guide on how to use Disclosure Scotland's new service to view your PVG results online, and how to share them with the organisation you're working or volunteering with.

What do I need to access my PVG Online Result?

You should have been notified that your PVG Online Result is ready to be viewed via email. You will need the following to access it:

• ScotAccount email and password
• Your mobile phone to enter a one-time passcode

How do I view my PVG Online Result?

1. Login to your ScotAccount: Visit https://authn.scotaccount.service.gov.scot/sign-in/login to log in to your ScotAccount with your email and password.
2. Enter one-time passcode: Once you have entered your email and password, you will receive a one-time passcode on the mobile number that you provided when you created your ScotAccount. Enter this code to log in.
3. View available PVG Results: Once you have signed in, you will see your disclosure result that has been processed. Click 'View and share'
4. Check your results: Double check that the information displayed is correct. When you are ready to share your PVG result, click the 'Share result' button, which can be found at the top and bottom of this page.
5. Choose how to share result: Your result can be shared digitally or via a paper copy. Sharing digitally is recommended as requesting a paper copy takes longer, and may delay the recruitment process.
6. Share Digitally: If you choose to share your result digitally, you will receive a confirmation that your result has been shared, and the organisation linked with your application will receive an email allowing them to view the result.

7. Sharing by paper: You will see a warning message that this takes longer than sharing digitally. Press 'Confirm'. A paper copy will then be issued.
